Upholstery project no 2.....

I get great pleasure in turning unloved and sometimes downright horrible items a new lease on life. My favourite spot to spy these little gems is eBay....not so sure if my darling husband agrees as I think he wants to ban me from eBay as I keep spotting great chair projects.

This is my latest project - two old bridge chairs that have had from what I can tell a very useful life.  I'm glad they were listed on eBay otherwise they may have ended up in the bin.....

They are very sad to look at in the before state!!

I was lucky to get both chairs for $50, so at $25 each I think I got a pretty good bargain.  I have plenty of supplies of only needed to get new springs and fabric.

The photos i am using are a little out of sequence as they capture images from the process for both chairs!!

The chairs where stripped bare and many, many tacs removed before any work could start on revitalizing these beauties .

I"ll let the pictures tell the story

Tolix Chairs

I love tolix chairs!!!!  there is such an abundance of suppliers and prices do vary considerably.  I am staging a vacant home in a few weeks and really wanted to use some tolix chairs.  So I go on the web to do some research and this is what I found.

MattBlatt for $149

I then found this
at Provincial Home Living for $119,

still a little to expensive.........I kept searching and the I can across the website for Stainless Steel Australia and wow they have a great range of tolix chairs and stools at unbeatable prices.....I ended up buy these
for can you believe it only $69 each.....what an absolute bargain.  The have a great range of colours and the staff are extremely helpful.  I will certainly be going back for some stools.
